Description
Black Ant Geocaching Container
We’ve attached a large artificial black ant on top of our watertight Tiny Tim magnetic cache container and it’s ready for you to hide, complete with logs. From “nose” to “behind” it measures approx. 1-1/4″ and is a hair over 1″ tall. When you’re ready to replace the log, use the Tiny Tim log download.
One really sneaky way to hide these is to put a roofing nail into a knot hole or juncture of a tree limb and let the container cling to that nail, camouflaging with some dry grass or leaves. It looks totally natural and blends in so well it practically disappears!
Note: Please note in your cache description that the bug is not to be used to unscrew the lid of the container and the “finder” needs to grip the container lid itself to unscrew it to get to the log. Rough handling could cause the bug to come unattached from the container. If your bug does become detached, we recommend replacing with a dot or two of superglue or waterproof epoxy.
The finder will need tweezers (or better yet, our log rolling tool!) to remove the log from the geocaching container. They will then need to roll it tightly to insert it back into the geocaching container.
